- You are responsible for your local data and backups.
- Prayer times and content should be verified when precision matters.
- Do not misuse the app, attack its services, or submit harmful feedback content.
What Hilal provides
Hilal provides habit tracking, intentions, Ramadan progress, reward visuals, prayer-time context, Quran and hadith widgets, backup tools, and shareable achievement experiences.
The app may change, pause, or remove features over time as the product improves.
Not religious, medical, or professional advice
Hilal is a software tool for personal reflection and habit tracking. It is not a religious authority, medical service, counseling service, or professional advisory service.
For religious rulings, prayer-time disputes, fasting exemptions, health concerns, or personal obligations, consult qualified local scholars, health professionals, or other appropriate experts.
Prayer times and third-party content
Prayer times are calculated from third-party data and settings. They may differ from your mosque, local authority, school of calculation, or exact location.
Quran and hadith widgets are provided for reflection. Verify source details when accuracy is important.
Your data and backups
Hilal is local-first. Most app data lives in your browser storage, so you are responsible for preserving it if you change devices, clear browser data, or uninstall the PWA.
Encrypted backup export and import tools are provided for convenience. Keep backup files private and store them somewhere you trust.
Feedback and submitted content
If you send feedback, you give the maintainer permission to read it, respond if contact details are provided, and use it to improve Hilal.
Do not submit unlawful, abusive, private third-party, malicious, or misleading content through feedback forms or shared links.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the app, overload the service, bypass access controls, scrape private user tokens, reverse engineer security-sensitive parts, or use Hilal to harm others.
Do not use the app in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.
Availability and changes
Hilal is provided as available. The app may have bugs, downtime, external API failures, or browser storage limitations.
Terms may be updated when the product, legal needs, or service providers change. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Hilal and its maintainer are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, missed reminders, inaccurate third-party content, or reliance on the app beyond its intended purpose.
